Gingrich heads to Larry


Former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich will be in Lawrence tomorrow Nov. 4. First elected U.S. Representative from Georgia in 1978, Gingrich became a natural leader in the House. He led the Republican party to regain control of Congress in 1994 and became the first Republican speaker in nearly 50 years. Gingrich served as Speaker of the House from 1995 to 1999.

From 12:00-1:30PM he will be in the Summerfield Room, Adams Alumni Center
Join Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich for free pizza and political chatter. Front row seats will be saved for folks who are willing to help with set up starting at 10am. Email Eric at efoss1@ku.edu to let him know you'll be helping set up.

Later that evening from 7:30-8:30 - he will move over to the Dole Center
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich visits Lawrence as the inaugural Robert J. Dole Distinguished Visiting Fellow. The program is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 6 PM.
