We wrote earlier today about the Obama Administration's botched response to the H1N1 virus.It gets even worse! As Americans wait in long lines and face shortages of the vaccine, guess who is getting A list treatment? Terrorists being held at Guanatanamo Bay.
Yup, 13 WIBW in Topeka reports that the "Pentagon will offer the H1N1 vaccination to detainees at the U.S. facility at Guantanamo Bay". According to Maj. Diana R. Haynie, a spokeswoman for Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, "JTF Guantanamo conducts safe, humane, legal and transparent care and custody of detainees. As such, we must provide detainees the medical care necessary to maintain their health."
Excuse us for not getting all warm and fuzzy about this, but what about the millions of men, women, and American children who do not have access to this vaccination? Who is standing up for them?
Oh and Haynie also noted, "Some of the detainees have already voluntarily taken the seasonal flu shot".
